Message from Bryan, 2025 Quilt Show Chairman

The first and most important statement regarding the 2025 Quilt Show…WE DID

IT! I am so proud of my committee and all of you who took the plunge and

entered a quilt this year…Well Done YOU!

It was a busy week and it was so nice to see everyone pulling together and working on the show. In my travels around the show checking in on vendors, speaking to our guests, I heard the same theme over and over, “This is a wonderful show!” “This show is better than Sisters.” “How did your Guild get such a wonderful food vendor?” etc., etc. A great show was put on by many hands working together to share and celebrate the fabric arts we all love. One piece of data to share, the Guild’s efforts to promote, participate, invite, and share the details of the 2025 show resulted in a 20% increase in guests over the attendance numbers of 2024. That is outstanding!

A few shoutouts….

Betsy Lawlor: You brought a surprise to all of us with your custom temporary

tattoos! We all had so much fun with your designs and I can't wait to be sporting the Betsy Lawlor ink in 2026.

Stephanie Bailey: You sacrificed your husband for several back breaking projects with set up and tear down of the quilt hangers. We could not have got the trailer loaded and materials stored without his help.

Laurie Dodson: Even from far away you put on a wonderful lunch for our workers and vendors on Thursday. Please thank your sons.

Kyla Lemon: You kept us online and productive with your tech guru magic. The many hats you wore were perfectly accomplished.

Karen Ethier: The holiday bed turning was outstanding and it was really nice to see Guild Members speaking up and recognizing each other during and after your presentations.

Lori Smith: We were all tired, but you kept encouraging me and others to keep going, keep working, keep smiling.

Lynn Blake: You were a marvel keeping all of the volunteers on point and you know we live on snacks, coffee, and donuts and you delivered as you always do.

Carol Scamara: You knocked it out of the park with the vendors and I think all of

them are committed to coming back in 2026.

Debbie Hicks and Audrey Liverman: The Boutique was beautiful and always busy. You handled the traffic so well.

Kathy Richard and Sandi Vierra:

Community Quilts did a bang up job and sold so many quilts. I'm sure the batting is covered and then some. Quilts of Honor was well attended and so touching.

Nancy Wyllie: Your work on the display, design, organizing with Probation and laying out the show was a miracle. Thank you for all of the hours and hours of prep you put into the show.

While the Viewer’s Choice Committee tallies the votes in preparation for the October 13th General Membership Meeting, I do want to remind you that we will be having our grand prize drawing for 3 Missouri Star Advent boxes at the meeting…Be sure to bring your Golden Tickets.

Deby Stagliano, what a beautiful display of your quilts; I am very proud of your work and how much I saw you interacting with our guests, teaching, sharing, and representing all with grace, pride, and talent. Thank you, Deby!

In closing, The show was a labor of love for me and I am truly grateful for all of the support provided to help us get this show into the books. For now, let us all enjoy our success and celebrate all of the beautiful quilts we shared with our community.
